I haven’t been tagged but I saw this and I was like hmmmmmm I have the time
I took the questions from Kelly’s Rambles
BOOKMARKS OR RANDOM PIECES OF PAPER?
Anything. Literally whatever I find; tissue, sticky notes, paper, receipts. Anything. Although, I do have one pink bookmark but I’m not all that faithful to it.
STOP READING RANDOMLY OR AFTER A CHAPTER/CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PAGES?
I have to finish the whole book regardless of how boring or annoying it is. Although I do stop abruptly and pick up where I started, I don’t decide the page or chapter I’ll stop in. When it comes to audiobooks I listen until I find myself thinking of something else which is after a couple hours.
DO YOU HAVE A CERTAIN PLACE AT HOME FOR READING?
At home, it’s mostly my bed. I can’t have complete focus on a book unless I’m all cozy, phone on vibrate and just calm.
DO YOU EAT OR DRINK WHILST READING?
Reading is holy to me. I don’t multitask while reading. Which is a problem because sometimes I could be reading for hours and forget to drink water or want to skip lunch.
MULTITASKING: MUSIC OR TV WHEN READING?
No. It is my holy moment.
ONE BOOK AT A TIME OR SEVERAL?
Usually several. I listen to an audiobook every time I’m driving and a couple to keep me interested. I find that if I read just one book then it will take longer to finish.
READING AT HOME OR EVERYWHERE?
Everywhere. It’s hard sometimes because of distractions but to me… I can’t waste time so I’d read or do something that I can benefit from.
READING OUT LOUD OR SILENTLY?
Silently. When I get excited I’d whisper intensely, haha. I have this weird habit where I read a paragraph a couple of times before moving on and sometimes reading out loud helps. I’m dyslexic so the words bunch up.
BREAKING THE SPINE OR KEEPING IT LIKE NEW?
I like to say that I make it mine. I don’t mind if it’s smudged, or the spine breaks. It gives more meaning to me somehow? I’d never dog-ear though.
DO YOU WRITE IN YOUR BOOKS?
Yes! I study the sentence structures and the words and I take note of them in the back of the book. I’d highlight quotes I love so I can put them on my quotes page
